About
My Story
Throughout my life, my grandmother, an artist battling diabetes, Parkinson’s, arthritis, and bipolar disorder, taught me that patients are more than their illnesses. She instilled in me a deep appreciation for creativity and the importance of viewing people as individuals with unique stories, strengths, and aspirations. This philosophy inspires me to become a doctor who values every aspect of my patients’ well-being.
My college experience has reinforced my belief in holistic patient care. Through my research at UFHCC USP and volunteer work, I’ve seen the physical and emotional struggles patients face and the healing power of creativity. As part of Dream Team Engineering, I’ve learned how the intersection of engineering and creativity can enhance the patient experience.
Looking forward, I aim to integrate art and healing in my future work, drawing from different cultural approaches and honoring the lessons my grandmother taught me. My goal as a physician is to bridge gaps in patient care, nurturing both the body and the spirit, while respecting each individual’s unique journey.
